Last week's report on home broadband subscriptions from the Yankee
Group left me slightly perplexed initially. Of all the households
interviewed by the Yankee Group about their reasons for getting
broadband access, less than 2 percent said that listening to music,
watching videos, or gaming online was either a primary or secondary
reason for getting a broadband subscription.
