Dear all,
I would just like to voice my concern and pass on my condolences to
those
who have been caught up in the appalling scenes in the US. Currently I
am
fortunate that I have no one directly involved although this may have so
easily been true.
I also pray that a considered response is given by the US authorities as
instant replies are the cause of extra grief on all sides. I also
respectively state that I hope that what ever action is taken it is not
some blanket blame on Islam or the middle east. The Koran actually
preaches
tolerance to all religions in much the same way as Christianity also
teaches
us. It would be equally awful if this terrible act of terrorism was used
as
an excuse to bring other prejudices to bear on already unstable world
order.
Having had personal experience of Northern Ireland with the terrorism
and
personal suffering that is still taking place I urge some restraint.
Deeply appalled and saddened by the events of yesterday
sincerely yours
Mike Gilmour
