8th International Workshop of the European Group for Structural Engineering
Applications of Artificial Intelligence (EG-SEA-AI)

THEME: 'The Role of Intelligent Systems in Globalisation'
Summary:
Papers are invited from researchers and industry practitioners for the 8th
EG-SEA-AI Workshops, which is being held in conjunction with the American
Society of Civil Engineers' Techinical Council on Computing and Information
Technology (TCCIT). The workshop will be held following the 1st
International Conference on Innovation in AEC, which is scheduled for
18-20th July at Loughborough University, UK (visit
http://www.lboro.ac.uk/cice/aec for further details). It will address the
role of intelligent systems in globalisation within the AEC sector and
papers that address this and related topics will be welcome. There are
three types of papers that may be submitted:
# full papers (8-10 pages long; with 20 mins for presentation)
# short papers (4-5 pages long; with 10 mins for presentation)
# position papers (2 pages long highlighting ongoing work; not for
presentation).
Deadlines:
Full/Short Papers 15th March 2001
Notification of Acceptance 15th April 2001
Final Papers (All) 15th May 2001
Position Papers 15th May 2001 (no reviews, editing only)
Notes:
# All papers should be submitted by electronic means (in MS Word Format)
# The workshop proceedings will be published as an edited volume (with an
ISBN number)
# Research Students are particularly welcome and may be eligible for
financial support. Requests for assistance should be directed to Dr Lynne
Moore, EG-SEA-AI Chair ([log in to unmask]).
# The workshop will commence with a welcome reception on the evening of
Friday 20th July and end at 5pm on Sunday 22nd July.
# An exciting technical and social programme is planned for delegates and
accompanying persons.
