Criminal Justice Forum
21st November 2001, Queen Elizabeth II Conference Centre,
London
The Criminal Justice Forum, organised in association with the
Invest to Save Unit at HM Treasury, enables the sharing of ideas
and best practice between those responsible for IT based Criminal
Justice projects.
Much of the programme is based around roundtable discussion
groups and pre-arranged one-on-one meetings, in order that
contacts may be fostered for the effective development of joined-up
justice. Twenty innovative Criminal Justice projects, funded from
the Invest to Save Budget, are being profiled at the forum. These
projects provide a valuable opportunity to learn what works in the
joint delivery of services and how to apply this knowledge in the
future design of IT initiatives within the Criminal Justice System.
Speakers at the meeting include:
Alan Mather, CEO, e-Delivery Team, Office of the e-Envoy
Rob Molan, Head of the Invest to Save Unit, HM Treasury
Rod Jarman, Borough Commander, Southwark Borough,
Metropolitan Police Service
Amy DuRoss, E-Government Task Manager, Development
Gateway, The World Bank Group
Inspector Duncan Pratt, Thames Valley Police (co-author of Best
Value on Crime Recordings)
David Finegan, Head of Criminal Justice Secretariate, Northern
Ireland Office
