A ONE-DAY TRIBUTE TO WILSON HARRIS
University of Liège - 30th March 2001
Wilson Harris, novelist, poet and essayist, is one of the greatest
contemporary writers in English and one of today's original thinkers. On
29th March 2001 he will receive an Honorary Doctorate from the University of
Liège. This will coincide with his 80th birthday and with the publication of
his latest novel, *The Dark Jester*.
To celebrate this occasion the Centre for Commonwealth Studies of the
University of Liège (C.E.R.E.C.) is organizing a one-day conference on
Friday 30th March. The conference will concentrate on his work and Wilson
Harris himself will take part.
