THIRD INTERNATIONAL WORKSHOP ON INSTITUTIONAL ECONOMICS

Hertford Campus, University of Hertfordshire, UK

4-7 September 2001

"Understanding Economic Institutions: Theory, Methodology and Illustrations "

This year, the workshop has been expanded from two to four days.
Participants may choose to attend any part of the workshop. The first two
days will consist of lectures and discussions on institutional economics.
In the final two days a number of selected papers will be presented by
leading researchers.

This year we are pleased to welcome Philip Mirowski (University of Notre
Dame, USA) as the keynote speaker and Tony Lawson (University of Cambridge)
as guest lecturer.

In addition, a number of high quality papers have been selected for
presentation at the workshop. Their authors come from Denmark, France,
Japan, Netherlands, Sweden and the USA - as well as from the UK.

For further information, see our web site on
http://www.herts.ac.uk/business/esst/Staff/g-hodgson/CRIE.htm
It is planned to update this site regularly.

Hertford is 30 minutes by train from central London, and close to London
Luton, London Stansted and London City airports.

This mailing gives details of the programme, costs and registration
procedure. Please note that places and local accommodation are both limited
and you are asked to book your place in the workshop, as well as your local
accommodation, by 16 July 2001. This applies to all participants, including
those giving papers.

I hope very much that you will be able to participate in this event.
