Aims
An eminently practical, balanced and inspiring grounding in providing

the learning outcomes of dyslexia students. Dyslexia is not a marginal
subject: effective techniques for supporting dyslexic students also benefit
a wide range of other students.
Outcomes
Participants will be familiar with a range of issues and practical strategies
for delivering support, including:
What is dyslexia?
How is dyslexia diagnosed?
How do I recognise a dyslexic student?
How do I assess the work of dyslexic students fairly?
How do I make information more accessible to dyslexic students?
Is there a unique link between art, creativity and dyslexia?
Participants
This workshop event is aimed at all staff involved in Art Education, whether
academic, administrative, advisory or information roles.
Process
Presentation, discussion, small task groups, action planning.
