Workgroup License Manager beta available

The Workgroup License Manager (the Zoo) will be included
with Rhino 2.0 at no additional cost. You will have
the option to install Rhino 2.0 as a single user
or as a workgroup node.

If Rhino 2.0 is installed as a workgroup node,
a CD key for each Rhino license must be entered in
the Zoo administration dialog. The individual user
does not enter a CD key at the workstation; instead,
when a Rhino node starts, the Zoo assigns a CD key to
each user automatically. When all available CD keys
are assigned, no more users can start Rhino until another
user exits Rhino.

The Zoo can run on any system in the workgroup. If the Zoo
is shut down for any reason, the users' nodes will keep
running, but additional nodes will not be able to start
up until the Zoo is running again.

The Workgroup Manager is now availabe for the latest
Rhino 2.0 beta. http://download.mcneel.com/zoo

Advanced Ship Design with Rhino + FastShip
by Andrés González and Larry Leibman

Designers will get hands-on experience using
Rhino and FastShip in the ship design and
analysis process.

You will learn how to:

- Use basic commands and tools to create 2-D
geometry. Use this geometry to create surfaces
  and solids.
- Accurately and easily model and edit free-form
organic shapes. Rhino can model practically any shape
  imaginable.
- Create marine structures like hulls, superstructures,
appendages, etc., with the ability to design fair
  surfaces quickly and accurately.
- Incorporate into the model features such as bossing,
bulbous bows, twin skegs, chines/knuckles, broken
  sheerlines, and circular bilge turns.
- Determine hydrostatic characteristics.
- Use Flamingo to render your model for
  presentation. (Sneak preview!)

The first two days will cover modeling with Rhino. The
last three days will focus on FastShip's ship design
capabilities and rendering with Flamingo.
