I'm forwarding the below, which the author has not requested (he being
too creepy to be on this list any more); but Adjunct is a magnificent
book.
And talking of long prose things. I was in Hay-on-Wye at the weekend,
where Chris Prince has set up a new Poetry Bookshop, which is as far as
I'm concerned the nicest, most *hygienic of the dozens of bookshops
there, and I bought something called 'Lens' by Frank Kuenstler, pub.
Film Culture, NY, 1964, written 1952-1964, that seemed wonderful. I
hadn't heard of him, but have just found this (and pinched from it the
opening of this book):

I was in Hay for my father's birthday, who was born 1928, same year as
Kuenstler; and I bought Lens yesterday, on Dad's birthday, 5 years to
the week after K's death. Has anyone seen any of his films?
