Steve - I don't consider it one of the duties of list management to be a
recipient of abuse. That is the beginning and end of it as far as I'm
concerned. Believe it or not, list "authorities" (what a laugh) might
be considered to have rights as well. If that is the "efficient
management of opinion" so be it. I don't believe it is; if Kent had
continued merely to discuss poetics, he would still be on poetryetc.
Also, I was not advising anyone on how to run a list, but rather
revealing my own dilemmas.
