Andrew Blaikie aquired 17th century Scots tune MSS of 1683(?) and
1692(?). These are now lost and there's only a partial transcript of the
latter in the Wighton collection, Dundee. Wm. Chappell made a
transcript of the later one (calling it Lady Katharine Boyd's Bass Viol
MS). Does anyone know where Chappell's transcript might be now?
Is there any library containing older records and manuscripts of
Chappell & Co.?
