Julia (and everyone else, for that matter)
These days it is unfortunately possible to send a virus via e-mail without
an attachment, but this can only occur if you use HTML formatting. (It's
actually a bit more complicated than that, but that is all you need to
know). In any case, using anything other than plain text causes some people
a load of grief reading messages, especially those who use UNIX systems not
PCs. To remind you, therefore, the golden rule should be **always** to send
messages using plain text. In Outlook Express, it's very easy to do. Go to
the Format pull-down menu and change the option from Rich Text (HTML) to
Plain Text. That's it.
