Just to take up the last point whilst brash and thrusting may be the wrong
terms, the profession needs to be self publicising and willing to grab every
opportunity. In an organisation which constantly questions what you do and
why, you need not only to prove your underlying worth but also be able to
think imaginatively about how you can improve your service and value to the
company and not be shy about knocking on the doors of all to get your
message over. You therefore need to be at least outgoing and prepared to
take the odd risk or like me driven by sheer desparation, 17 reviews in the
last 10 years, to stay on course. So sorry shrinking violets not accepted
here.
