Have you ever wondered what to do with that box of records you`ve found lurking
in the Strongroom, or how to set up an oral history project?
If so, now is your final, final chance to book yourself onto the Southern
Regions Training Event entitled `Film and Sound: Practical Approaches` All boo
kings should reach the Society`s office by 2nd May -- alternatively please fax

The event will ake place on 17th May at the Surrey History Centre.
Speakers include Frank Gray, Curator of the South-East Film and Video
Archive; Ine van Dooren, Archivist at SEFVA; and Dr. John Stedman, Local
History Officer at Portsmouth Museum and Record Service. The day will be
chaired by David Lee, from Wessex Film and Sound Archive.
The morning workshop will provide advice on the specialist care needed in
conserving film collections, and where to get help. The afternoon will
explore techniques and current practice employed in building an oral
history collection.
The fee is œ50 SoA members / œ70 non members.
