I should like to add a supplementary to Fiona's question about
hand held scanners.
A reader here has recently had good results photographing text
with her ordinary little digital camera. There were no copyright
problems and it saved the difficulties that I have in a small
repository in arranging for photographs to be taken.
Are there any conservation reasons against allowing this?
