Dear All,
Here at the University of Gloucestershire Archives we are looking into the
possibility of scanning a large number of scrapbooks written by generations
of students past. There are over 70 of these books ranging from the 1860s
to the 1960s and as time went on so the books got bigger with the largest
some 2ft long and 1ft wide. Whereas many of the earliest volumes are very
brittle and are literarlly beginning to crumble away.
Does anybody know of any companies out there who maybe able to cope with
scanning specialist archival items like these for storage on CD ROM - or
indeed any companies to avoid!
Please feel free to reply on or off list.
Many thanks
