A postdoctoral position is available in the Laboratory of Fish
Reproduction and Biotechnology, Institute of Molecular
Agrobiology, Singapore.
Our laboratory studies the molecular regulation of sex
determination and early gonad differentiation in fish by using
zebrafish and medaka as models. Detailed description of the

Applicants should possess a Ph.D. degree, have a strong
background in molecular biology and at least one first authored
publication in an international peer-reviewed journal. Preferably
they should also be skilled with one or more of the following
techniques: cDNA subtraction, production and analysis of cDNA
arrays, differential gene expression, transcriptome analysis and
yeast two-hybrid system. Experience with fish is an asset, but
candidates with molecular/genomic experience from other areas,
like Caenorhabditis, Drosophila or mouse, will also be considered.
Applicants should be able to start before July 1, 2001.
The annual salary (based upon experience) for this position begins
at S$ 49,680 per annum (1 S$ = ~ US$ 0.6), with the possibility of
an additional 1 to 2 months salary bonus based upon performance.
Additional benefits include relocation and settling-in allowance,

education allowance for children.
