Syngenta, a leading global Agribusiness company, was formed in November 2000
by the merger of Zeneca Agrochemicals with Novartis Agribusiness. Central
Toxicology Laboratory (CTL) is part of the Health Assessment organisation of
Syngenta and enjoys a long-standing international reputation as a centre of
excellence in toxicology. The laboratory offers a full range of regulatory
studies to a client base from the agrochemical, pharmaceutical and
industrial chemical sectors.
An opportunity exists for a Statistician to join a team providing the
statistical consultancy and support service to the Laboratory. The position
is initially a fixed-term two year contract.
You will be required to work closely with scientists from a wide range of
disciplines on the design, analysis and interpretation of toxicology
studies.
The successful applicants will have a good first degree in Statistics or a
closely related discipline and preferably an MSc or PhD in Statistics.
Familiarity with SAS would be advantageous whilst the ability to work well
in a team and to communicate statistical ideas to non-statisticians both in
writing and orally are important personal skills.
