The 13th International Conference on Scientific and Statistical Database
Management will be held on July 18 - 20, 2001 at the George W. Johnson
Center of George Mason University, Fairfax, Virginia, USA.

the call for papers is still open, with contributions required by 12th
February.
Original papers on the following topics are invited:
Conceptual models for scientific databases,
Federated scientific databases,
System architectures,
Metadata management,
Knowledge and data sharing via XML,
Performance evaluation,
Data and knowledge management,
Scientific visualization,
Data integration,
Knowledge discovery and data mining,
Multimedia data management,
Scientific/statistical data warehouses and OLAP,
Spatio-temporal data, and
Experiment data management.
Short papers and student papers are also solicited. If accepted these
will be presented in special Poster Sessions. Case studies of SSDBM
applications are also invited.
