Aspects of time series in medical research
Professor Mike Campbell
Institute of Primary Care and General Practice, Sheffield
Often data in medical research are measured over time, and there
is a whole technology available for the analysis of time series.
However, much of it has been developed by engineers or
econometricians. The talk will consider various methods in time
series and time series regression, and discuss when and whether
some of these methods are really necessary when applied to
medical problems. Examples in cot deaths, air pollution
and evaluation of NHS Direct will be considered.
All are welcome!
