Dear all
The class of all distributions that have a rational Laplace transform, ie.
\hat{f}(s) = \frac{ b_n s^{n-1} + b_{n-1} s^{n-2} + ... + b_1}
{ s^n + a_n s^{n-1} + ... + a_1}
is well known.
Does anyone know where I can find any necessary and sufficient conditions on the numerator coefficients, b_n, b_{n-1}, ..., b_1, and the denominator coefficients, a_n, a_{n-1}, ..., a_1, that will ensure the transform actually yields a distribution when inverted?
Thanks in advance.
Kind regards
