A number of FULLY-FUNDED PhD STUDENTSHIPS are available to join one of
Division's thriving research groups, to undertake research studies for
three years commencing in October 2001.
Also available are PRIZE SCHOLARSHIPS to the value of 500 POUNDS STERLING
to candidates on the successful completion of their first year.
Projects are available in a wide range of research areas, including

* Asymptotic Methods in Statistical Inference
* Probability Theory
* Ion Channel Modelling
* Statistical Archaeology

Candidates should have, or expect to obtain this Summer, at least an Upper
Second class Honours degree (or its equivalent) in a mathematics or
statistics-based discipline.
The studentships will be funded either by the School's EPSRC Doctoral Training
Account or by University of Nottingham Research Scholarships.
