POSTDOCTORAL FELLOWSHIP IN MATHEMATICAL STATISTICS AT STOCKHOLM UNIVERSITY
A four-year position as postdoctoral fellow ("forskningsassistent" in
Swedish; similar to an assistant professorship without automatic
tenure) is open for application at the Division of mathematical
statistics at Stockholm University.
An applicant must hold a Ph.D. degree (or equivalent), but the degree
should not be more than five years old. The position is primarily
intended for research, but it also includes some teaching and
tutoring.
The subject of mathematical statistics is regarded as wide. An
applicant may have interests both in probability and in statistics,
and both in theoretical and applied aspects. Applied fields of
interest at the department at present include biostatistics,
chemometrics, actuarial mathematics and finance mathematics.
