Modern Regression Modelling
A bewildering range of regression models is available with modern statistical software. This course aims to promote good statistical practice in the use of many of these methods. Apart from explaining how to use particular techniques, the course considers general approaches to data analysis through data exploration, fitting statistical models and model validation.
The teaching style is more practical than theoretical with emphasis on participants gaining hands-on experience in data analysis and interpretation. The packages SAS, S-PLUS and GENSTAT will be used in practical work.
Who should attend?
Applied statisticians, and experienced data analysts who are familiar with the standard methods of multiple linear regression analysis.
How you will benefit
You will update your data analysis skills by learning to use modern statistics packages for exploring and modelling data.
