Lecturer (= Assistant Professor in US system)
The Position: Responsibilities include teaching (mostly at graduate
level), supervision of postgraduate dissertations, research in
applied linguistics, and administration.
The Person: Applicants should have a PhD in Applied Linguistics
or
equivalent, with a specialization in research on second language
acquisition/second language teaching and learning, in particular
Language for Specific Purposes, with reference to English and/or
languages other than English, and preferably one or more of the
following areas: Discourse, Language Program
Evaluation/Language
Testing, language use in multilingual settings. In your application
you should include a statement of your current research and
teaching
interests.
The Benefits: Salary AUD$52,548 - AUD$62,400 (Lecturer, Level B)
plus
employer superannuation contributions of 17 percent; salary
packaging
available.
Employment Type: This position is a full time (continuing) [=
tenure-track in US system) position, commencing 1 June 2002.
