Like the other HEI's who have responded to this e mail, we would like to
request the deadline be extended too as that would be a great help to us if
the proposed date of January 11 be allowed. We only received the report on
December 5th, very late in the afternoon and also will be closing over the
Christmas period re-opening on January 2nd.

I would like to second the proposal. Originally we were told that we would
receive the report on 23 Nov. Here at Salford we received it yesterday, 5
Dec., ie we missed 8 working days. We, as many others, are also closed over
Christmas and open on 2 Jan. So extension to 11 January (extra 8 working
days) would help us immensely.

I appreciate Roger's intervention in asking for an extended deadline but
this institution is closed w.e.f. 21st December until 2nd January, which,
in
effect, only allows us an extra 3 working days. Do you think we could
request a few extra days?

Repo rts
On the basis of Richard McCormacks email, I have protested to the DfES, and
asked for an extension to January 7.
