Dear Stewart
We do not charge the students a graduation fee but we do make a charge of
£10 for each guest that they wish to bring to their graduation ceremony. The
fee is to cover all associated expenses including the hire of a private
concert hall, the printing of programmes, the provision of refreshments etc.

Subject: Graduation Fees
Dear Colleagues
I am currently reviewing our graduation fees.
The current practice is for our graduates to pay £30 for a
first award from the University and £15 for each subsequent
award.
I understand that some institutions operate a similar
structure whilst others vary the fee according to the level
of the award being made.
I should be grateful if you would forward information on
the fees which you levy.
In addition, it would be helpful if you would indicate
whether or not you receive enquiries from graduates on the
purpose of the fee, and if so, how you respond.
Thank you for your help.
Regards
Stewart Smith
