At Liverpool John Moores University we are reviewing how we feedback to
External Examiners following submission of their annual report. I would be
interested to find out current practice in other universities:
Does the response come from somebody in central administration or from an
academic nominee within a School/Department? Is this a written response, do
you use an agreed format?
In cases where responses come directly from Schools/Departments does a copy
go to central admin, does anybody coordinate the responses or chase up if an
external examiner has received a response?
Who deals with matters of institutional concern?
Any other information you feel is relevant would also be welcomed.
