At London Guildhall University, the assessment criteria for
each unit/module must specify whether there is a requirment
to obtain a pass mark in any of the various components of
assessment. On units where there is no such requirement,
the overall, aggregate mark is utilised to determine
whether a student has met the requirements of the unit. On
units where there is a requirement to obtain a pass in each
or any specific component of assessment, in order to meet
learning outcomes, and a student fails to meet these
requirements, they fail the unit. Regulations on
re-assessment are then applied.
