Dear colleagues
My apologies for revisiting an old chestnut but we are about to change our
procedures for printing degree certificates. To this end I am asking if you
print your certificates in-house and, if so, what sort of printer you use.
Our certificates are currently on 160g paper and printed from an electronic
file we send to a local printer. We are considering the possibility of
printing the certificates in the office and also using a slightly lighter
paper. Basically we are looking for a laser printer that can handle the
throughput we need (some ceremonies require 1,000 certificates within 4
working days) and also not curl the paper. We currently use Lexmark Optra
laser printers for our office functions but these tend to curl the paper.
Ideally we would like to use a flat-bed printer.
I would welcome responses with the printer you use, the weight of the
certificate paper, and the volume/timescale for printing. Please reply to me,
rather than the list, on [log in to unmask]
Many thanks
