I've just received the disk containing the first remittance
of tuition fees for this year and judging by the lack of
correspondence on the list must be one of the first to
receive it. Unfortunately, the disk was sent in a plain
envelope which, after suffering the rigours of a Post
Office sorting machine has come through rather battered and
bent. I have however managed to open it and extract the
data from it. (for what its worth)
Now we come to the problem. In its wisdom, SLC has included
payments for students in 1999/2000 as well as 2000/2001.
In normal circumstances I don't think this would be too
much of a problem but there is no indication at all on the
disk that shows which payment is for which year. Would it
have been too much to ask that a field be added which
denoted to which year the payment related?
