Peer Assessment Workshop
Wednesday 7 November 2001
London University, Goldsmiths College
This workshop arises out of the research from assessing group practice, a
consortium project based at Central School of Speech and Drama.
Consortium members: Central School of Speech and Drama (lead)
Goldsmiths College
Dartington College of Arts
Bretton Hall (merging with University of
Leeds)
University of Salford
University of Ulster
It is intended for both novices and those experienced in using peer
assessment in the performing and creative arts.
The workshop will explore some of the common barriers to peer assessment and
provide an opportunity for delegates to share examples of successful
practice of both formative and summative assessment used in class and for
independent study.
By the end of the workshop, participants should have a portfolio of ideas,
models, assessment criteria and references to enable them to devise their
own peer assessment strategy for use in their own work.
Workshop facilitators:
Cordelia Bryan, Central School of Speech and Drama
Tom Maguire, University of Ulster
This workshop is FREE. However, numbers will be limited to allow for small
group work and places will be allocated on a first-come-first-served basis.
