A couple of observations after a hard few weeks...
I suppose you could argue that others who had managed their time
properly/frugally and had to make hard decisions sacrificing quality for
meeting the deadlines might be put out. Might there be an equal opps issue
here?
Do you want to encourage a sense of aesthetic production being separate
from other social arenas? And more practically how well would being
utterly flexible prepare them for the realities outside of the Academy?
Perhaps you could have two marks - one assessing the work itself and
another assessing the organisational skills of the student including
timekeeping? The overall grade could be some sort of amalgam of both of
these.
