Design for All Award - Your chance to become a member of the on-line jury
For the occasion of the European Day of Disabled People 2001, the European
Commission in collaboration with the European Disability Forum has inviting
organisations to take part in a Design for all competition that will reward
the commitment of these organisations to people with disabilities as
consumers. More specifically, the Commission and the EDF wish to reward
organisations that have developed products, services, systems or
environments that follow the Design for All approach. The award will also
highlight the corporate social responsibility organisations have
demonstrated in doing so.
54 organisations from all over Europe have entered 80 entries for the
Breaking Barrier Award. The Jury has now selected 38 nominees for the 3
categories of the award. The winners of the award will be announce during
the Award ceremony in Brussels on 3rd December 2001.
In addition to the 3 category awards, there will also be a e-user award
which is based on the e-votes of people on the EDDP website.
This is your turn. Have a look at the nominees for the Breaking Barriers
Award and cast your on-line vote at
http://www.eddp.edf-feph.org/edf/award.html The organisation with most votes
will receive the e-user award on 3rd December 2001.
Please spread this message to as many people and organisations as possible
to ensure that the best organisation gets the user award.
Thank you,
Andre Wilkens
