In my experience they appear to be a personal preference. I know users who
wouldn't be without them and those who can't stand them. I don't like them
myself as I think they make it harder to see the screen and may cause people
to strain to see what they are doing.
Have you contacted any of the manufacturers, as I'm sure they will have
information for you?

Clare,
I take it that you are saying that if you are providing an anti-glare screen
which removes glare, then why bother to remove the source of the glare. If
I am interpreting you correctly, I would reply well you are probably nearly
right. Any anti-glare screen, however, would not remove glare from in front
of you e.g. from a window above your screen. There is also an assumption
that an anti-glare screen does what it purports to do.
I must admit, however, that removing the source of glare fits into our
normal mind-set of prevention rather than cure.
I hope you find your screen.
Best wishes
Kevin

Request for information
Does anyone out there have evidenced based information about the pros and
cons of antiglare screens for use with VDU'S? I have recently changed jobs
and have misplaced mine. Before anyone gets on their soap box, I do
understand the need to identify the reason for glare and if possible to
eliminate it!
I look forward to hearing from you. Thank you for sharing! This is such a
great system, I really enjoy reading everyone's comments, it is like having
an office full of Occupational Health professionals.
Regards,
Clare
