Could any "well seasoned" University based Occupational Health Nurse give
me their opinion on appropriate health surveillance for animal workers. I
understand the need for specific surveillance to identify workers who may
become sensitized but feel that their work tasks are quite diverse and
activities could also present health risks in other areas like
zoonosis,solvents,chemical, DSE,manual handling,stress,if the employee is
pregnant, using vibration tools (if they are involved in workshop
activities)and in this case noise would also be a consideration, some
consideration should also be given to the disability discrimination act.
All views would be appreciated.
Thank you
Clare
