Legal Information Overload
Wednesday 16th May 2001
2.00pm - 5.00pm
At Swedenborg House, 20-21 Bloomsbury Way, London WC1A 2TH.
The Institute of Information Scientists, in conjunction with the City Legal
Information Group, presents an a conference on Legal Information Overload.
Philip Wood of Allen & Overy and Ivan Darby of Butterworths will speak about
their solutions to legal information overload: whether to structure your
information or whether to use an intelligent agent such as Autonomy. Stella
Dextre Clark, an independent consultant, Alun Davies of Freshfields and
Julie Coleclough of Cap Gemini will form a panel to answer your questions
afterwards. Meredith Gibson of Coudert Brothers will chair the meeting.
This is your chance to ask the people who know about:
how to set up your legal knowledge management system;
how to successfully retrieve the right information;
how not to be swamped by the amount of material available; and
whether you should invest in an intelligent agent.
The debate needs to be heard – intelligent agents or structured information.
What are your views?
