Given the questions raised by the success of the terrorist attack on the WTC towers
and the Pentagon an independent inquiry into how these terrorists were able to
successfully breach security to successfully attack the WTC twin towers and the
Pentagon must be made. The anti-war movement must make this one of their demands. The
current FBI investigation operates on the basis that the acts were perpetrated by
Binladen and his network. Surely an investigation should be undertaken on the basis
of uncovering and collecting evidence so that a conclusion can be made as to who the
real perpetrators are.
This entire affair stinks. If, as Chussdosky and others, claim there has been a
continuous and very recent integrated organisational affinity between the Binladen
network, the CIA, British intelligence, Pakistani, Saudi intelligence then the nature
of this link should be investigated as part of an authentic ongoing investigation.
The events surrounding the terrorist attack is reminiscent of the circmstances
surrounding the assumption that Lee Harvey Oswald was entirely responsible for the
assassination of JFK. Then there are qeustions to be asked concerning the McVeigh
case and the Oklahoma bombings. It has been said that the FBI may have had plants
inside an organisation of which McVeigh was a member.
Given that there had been a systematic attempt to politically assassinate President
Clinton by right wing Republicans as a means of subverting the democratic process in
the form of events surrounding Monica Lewinsky etc. Given that the Presidency of the
USA was stolen from Al Gore by right wing Republicans. Given that there are grounds
for suggesting that JFK was assassinated by the right wing It is appropriate that
concerns should be raised and questions asked concerning events surrounding the
recent terrorist attack.
It seems that a section of the American bourgeoisie represented by the Republican
right, to advance its class interests, is prepared to subvert normal democratic
procedures to push through its aggressive imperialist agenda. The attack on
Afghanistan is an example of this agenda.
