not sure how much detail I have that you want - but if you didn't know it IS
possible to get a deal for the Oracle licence from Blackboard, and I have
(several different!) quotes, but these are fairly specific, so probably not
worth me circulating them. Oracle license per processor, not on size, and
Carl told me very recently that they are changing their pricing strategy
yesterday, so its a little more expensive. Halyna can probably give you more
details - but its certainly more economically viable to get a single machine
Oracle (light - as it were - i.e Bb application specific) licence than it is
to get a site licence for Oracle if you don't have one :-)

Subject: Bb database licensing
Hi,
Does anyone know any special arrangement that Blackboard has made on
database software licensing with either Microsoft or Oracle? Much
appreciated for any feedback on your database licence arrangement. I am
looking into costing options for different types of Bb implementation.
Many thanks.
