Hi Ben

I presume you are referring to taking another course on the same server. As
administrator on our server I create the accounts for students. These match
the IDs those on the university network. I pull them off as a batchfile from
our IT registration database.
I then create courses on the Bb server and enroll the students. I don't
allow teachers to create their own courses as we are keeping the IDs and
Titles to match those in our other systems. Teachers can enroll students
which already have an account within Blackboard but they can't create user
accounts (I disabled this) or remove students from their courses (as it
deletes assessments and I thought this was something to be avoided by
accident).
Thus to answer your question yes use the same id with different courses,
then the student when they log in will have all the courses they are taking
will be listed for them.

No there is a new homepage for each module (rather a pain)

No again staff have to create a new one for each module (unless they have
info on a web site and they can just link to it)

We haven't much experience of MAC use yet, but issues that come to light are
about format of documents, e.g. word attachments may not be viewable on MAC
so need to use formats that are platform independent e.g. pdf.
