Paul,
There's a file on the Blackboard server called Windmail.log, and if the email fails you get a message in there. However, this is not much help if you are
sending the e-mail from your office, unless you can also access the server. We found that the best solution is to register all our users with their
university email address, which we are fairly confident will work , then no problems except making them understand they MUST use their university e-mail
address for Blackboard. You really need browser based email to use this confidently of course.
