Greetings to you all, I trust that you enjoyed the Easter holidays and are
looking forward to the user group meeting on Friday.
I have a couple of exciting pieces of news that I wanted to share with you
before that meeting. Both highlight the extent to which Blackboard is
growing as the standard in e-education - both here in the UK (and
internationally), plus what is happening in the US.
Firstly, it is with great pleasure that I would like to announce the
appointment of two further additions to the Blackboard UK and Ireland team.
Jennifer Flinn (whom most of you are already familiar with through her work
as an Internet Sales Consultant based in DC) will be joining us as the
Regional Sales Manager for the South of the UK. Jennifer will be based in
London, and relocates to the UK on the 23rd April 2001.
Also joining on that date will be Jeremy Benson, who is based just outside
Lancaster. Jeremy will be working as the Internet Sales Consultant for the
UK and Ireland. Jeremy joins us from McGraw-Hill, where he was their
Regional Technology Specialist.
As the UK/Ireland Blackboard family grows ever larger, these new
appoinments reflect Blackboard's committment to this market.
The second piece of exciting news concerns a press release about
Blackboard's latest round of financing. Seeing as one cannot post
attachements on this mailbase, I have put the document at
http://demo2.blackboard.com username/password - evertonrobbed
The document emphasises Blackboard's mission to be the standard in e-
education - worldwide.
Best wishes,
Carl O'Keefe
