Hi again!!!
Was wondering about groups in Blackboard, from both perspectives.
Staff:
Is there an easier way to enroll students in lists than having to check
them off boz to add to a group, and if you add four people out of 24 to a
group do they come off list so you know who has gone to what groiup or do
you have to write down all students gone to which group -best way to set up
groups then?? What group potential has Blackboard got?
Also when a group e-mails each other through Blackboard, how come
instructor gets their e-mail also? they could be discussing their niight
out last night and I get the e-mail - can you stop the instructor having to
recieve every single e-mail sent by a group, or is my setup incorrect in
groups??
Students:
Idea came back last week about file sharing amongst students and Blackboard
is seen as a way of doing this - but when I set up students in Blackboard
groups they can file share, they can chat but they can't add forums to a
discussion board and would have to bother the instructor every time they
wanted to hold a discussion on something - they are MBA students so I think
they can be trusted to discuss educational matters only. So am I missing
something there or how can students start discussions, share files etc...
Is Blackboard not suited? What group potential has Blackboard got?
Thanks for your time, replies would be appreciated.
