Thanks Bruce,
I suppose with a bit more thought this would have made more sense but if Bb
has the ability to record that 'this student or staff member is already
enrolled so I'll hide them from you as you don't need to enroll them again'
perhaps they can leave them visible but simply add an 'already enrolled' tag
to their name?
regards
Paul

Paul,
It isn't just builders. Various categories of users become
invisible from various perspectives. These are usually logical, but can be
irritating. For example, once a student (or anyone) is enrolled on a
course, they cease to be visible from the 'enrol existing user' perspective.
This is logical. If they are enrolled, you don't need to enrol them, but
you may not guess that the reason they are invisible is because they are
enrolled. You may guess that they are not yet existing system users and set
off to enroll them again on the system.
Personally, I think it is an example of a good idea that doesn't
really work.

Bruce

Subject: Invisible staff on Bb
Hi Everyone,
I don't know if anyone has come across this before but its new to me. A
member of staff was trying to add another member of staff to their course
but couldn't find them in the registration list (add existing user). It
wasn't until I searched around that I realised this person was already in
the course as a builder. Why do people become invisible in a course if they
have builder status (and does it also apply to teaching assistants etc?). I
thought the ability for Instructors to add extra staff to support their
modules would make our admin duties easier but this only seems to confuse
staff (and me!). Perhaps Bb have a logical reason for this? If so, I'd love
to know.
regards
Paul
