Hi,
I'm having a problem with the setup of a course, which causes Blackboard to
act strange.
For a course I've created 4 groups. I don't want members of one group to
"see" members of other groups, so I disabled the communication button on
the course level.
On group level everything is enabled (discussion board, virtual classroom,
file exchange and email).
When I get into the course as a student I'll see the Groupsbutton. After
clicking this button I see the links for discussion board, vc etc... and
also all group members with a link to their personal homepages. The email
adresses are not shown here.
When I click on a students name the (empty) homepage is shown and an OK
button. When click on the OK button Blackboard shows me the Roster page
and again an OK button.
Since I don't want to select another user (odd enough all students of the
course are shown now, not only the ones in the group) I click again on the
OK button.
Within the course frame (the one where the course information ususally is
shown) I get the login page.
Almost the same thing is happening with communication on course level still
disabled. When selecting "Send E-mail" from the tools on the main screen
(My institution), I'll see the courses in which I'm participating. When
selecting a course I'll end up the same way: course page with in the course
frame the login screen.
When communication on course level is enabled these problems don't show up.
Is this a bug or am I doing something completely wrong?
