Fiona,
the document that Andrea refers to (Managing Multiple Sections of
Course Web Sites) can be found at
http://resources.blackboard.com/scholar/general/pages/ictraining/ -
along with a number of other helpful releases. I have found a number
of these to be well worth the read. I have also found the need to
rewrite the instructions for a number of areas to suit the
'non-American' mode of delivery.
Another point about the multiple use of documents for courses is that
Blackboard announced earlier this year that they are developing a
library component. This would allow you to store common elements (eg
documents) which can be called into (or referred to) from a number of
other courses. Don't know how far along this is, or which version it
will be released (I think they said version 6). I suspect it will
work in much the same way as Andrea has described from this panui
(Maori word for newssheet), but might be a little more user-friendly.
