I've just been reading that, apprently, the ALT attribute doesn't show up
as a "tool tip" on Macs. Whereas the TITLE attribute does. In which
case, should the TITLE be set in preference to ALT? Does TITLE display if
an image is broken or the user has images turned off, or do you need to
set both?
Does anyone know much about this? In particular, what
happens with voice software (for visually impaired users) - does it read
the TITLE attribute, the ALT attribute, or both?
I can't test all this easily, because I don't have a Mac!
Cheers,
Kat
