Netskills, in association with the JISC, are running a one off programme of
'Using the Internet for Teaching and Learning in FE' in each region of the UK.
This is a new workshop, which covers topics that are highly relevant and of
great interest to Further Education at the present time. These include areas
such as:
Virtual Learning Environments - use of, content structuring etc
Web Based Assessment creation and use
Vocational examples of teaching and Learning using the Internet including
areas such as Basic Skills, Hairdressing, Mathematics, English Business
Studies, ICT and more
Creation of web based teaching materials
Accessibility issues and use of specialist tools
This is a one day, largely hands on workshop with a networked PC for each
participant, available at the specially reduced cost of £60, which includes
comprehensive workbook, lunch and refreshments.
This series of workshops will run once only in each region at this specially
reduced cost. Currently regional workshops for which bookings are being taken
are:
Cardiff Wednesday 28th November 2001
Newcastle Friday 7th December 2001
