The message from New York was disturbing and terrible.
There is a touch of the psychopath about me. I wrote
a poem on St Just. It leaves me cold-blooded unless
I am in love. I know what it is like to die. I have
been there and come back. You just float away.
I have started reading Graham Robb's biography of
Rimbaud. I had a similar upbringing without his ability.
A tenth of those who died in New York were British.
It is best to be cold-blooded about it and not get
involved emotionally. The Israelis and the Palestinians
were snapping at each other on TV this morning. The
Palestinians won that one. Tony Benn says that in the
end you must talk. I am off to see my friends in the pub.
I wont forget New York
