I certainly support this. Reticence is not, possibly unfortunately, a
problem for me; but I can well believe that group activity would be
encouraging to some who might feel reticent
But I find such exercises often useful. I haven't participated in all the PE
projects, but some of the writing I *have done under such constraints still
pleases me some time after. Yes, one *could set it up for oneself; but it
doesn't always work like that.
& I think that the process of, to some extent, writing in front of each
other in real time complements and illuminates "the more learned business"

Dear All,
Like Stuart, I too have been motivated to post my first poem to the list. I
think that this sort of group activity offers the ideal opportunity to ease
the more reticent listees into submitting. Perhaps Alison could co-ordinate
these type of themed postings on a more regular basis. Possibly every month
or two, frequent enough to maintain some sort of momentum, without
detracting from the more learned business of the list. Maybe.
All the best

Snapshots #2
One more perfect sky
Of seamless blues
Makes the empty offer
Of an endless August,
Only to be given the lie
By the citrus tang
Of another autumn
Hidden in the breeze.
A bright yellow dustcart
Grumbles under my window
Clearing away the dusty remains
Of a summer's broken promises.
